Welcome to Lake Tekapo’s only Kayak and Paddle Board hire!
We operate on all fine days during summer (Labour Weekend – Easter) or by arrangement. Please check our Instagram for the most up-to-date availability.
To book your kayak or stand-up paddle board on beautiful Lake Tekapo, come and see us at the water’s edge, in front of the campground on Lakeside Drive.

Paddle Tekapo is the perfect activity to do with your friends or family this summer. We cater to all levels, ages, and abilities making your kayak or paddleboarding adventure a fantastic family-friendly activity. Explore Lake Tekapo’s splendour from the water while touring the shoreline and seeing the famous sites from a new angle.
Paddle Tekapo also offers bespoke trips, introductory kayak courses, Grade 2 Certifications and group bookings. There is something for everyone to enjoy!
We take great pride in the excellent safety standards and service levels we implement throughout all of our activities.
Safety on the water
Please stay inside the yellow buoys. Please be aware motorised boats are allowed on Lake Tekapo. We do not allow you to kayak to the Island. All points shown are weather dependent.
